LG to Unveil First Micro RGB Television at CES 2026
LG is set to enter the emerging Micro RGB television market with the debut of its LG Micro RGB evo at CES 2026. This new display technology represents a significant advancement in screen innovation, utilizing individually controlled red, green, and blue Micro LEDs as backlighting instead of traditional white lights. This approach allows for a wider color array and positions the technology between OLED displays with their individual pixel lighting and mini LED screens. The LG Micro RGB evo features an upgraded AI upscaling engine and has been certified by Intertek for 100% color gamut coverage in BT.2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB color spaces. With more than a thousand dimming zones for precise brightness control, the television will be available in 100-inch, 86-inch, and 75-inch sizes. While pricing details have not been announced, similar Micro RGB televisions from other manufacturers currently retail at premium prices, with Samsung's 115-inch model costing $29,999. LG's entry into this market segment signals the company's commitment to competing at the highest end of television technology.
