Russias communications regulator, Roskomnadzor, has blocked access to Snapchat in the country, according to state-run news agency RIA. This action continues Russias pattern of restricting foreign social media platforms that began after the countrys invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The ban on Snapchat follows earlier restrictions on platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, and Signal, as Russia seeks greater control over digital communication channels.
