NASA officials have confirmed that comet 3I/ATLAS is indeed an interstellar object with all evidence pointing to its origin outside our solar system. During a recent announcement NASA Associate Administrator Amit Kshatriya and NASA Science Associate Administrator Dr. Nicky Fox explained the findings and revealed a new image of the celestial visitor. This confirmation makes 3I/ATLAS one of only a few confirmed interstellar objects to pass through our solar system joining the ranks of Oumuamua and Borisov. comet's trajectory speed and other characteristics clearly indicate it originated from beyond our solar system and is merely passing through. NASA researchers continue to study the object gathering as much data as possible before it continues its journey into deep space. This discovery provides valuable insights into the composition of other solar systems and the nature of objects that travel between stars.
