Amazon Removes AI-Generated Video Recaps After Errors
Amazon has removed its AI-generated video recaps from Prime Video after viewers identified factual errors in a recap created for the series 'Fallout.' The Video Recaps feature was introduced in November as a way to help viewers jump into new seasons of shows without watching previous episodes. However, the AI-generated content proved problematic, with the 'Fallout' recap containing inaccuracies about the plot and setting of the show. The recaps were accessible in the 'Extras' section on web browsers or via a dedicated 'recap button' on show pages. Following user complaints, Amazon has now removed the erroneous recaps not only from 'Fallout' but also from other shows where the feature was being tested, including 'Bosch,' 'Upload,' 'The Rig,' and 'Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan.' This isn't the first time Amazon has pulled AI-generated content after user feedback, as the company previously removed AI-generated English dubs for select anime shows after similar complaints.
